Ilocos Norte Mining Company, Inc. (INMCI) joins Kiwanis Club of Ilocos Norte in the conduct of medical, dental and other health services for the residents of the Municipalities of Badoc and Pinili, Ilocos Norte. In cooperation with LGU-Badoc, Ilocos Norte headed by Mayor Thomas Toralba, INEC District 2 headed by Mr. Virgilio Calajate and the Barangay Council of Gabut Norte, Badoc, Ilocos Norte. It was held on August 2, 2008 from 8:00 o’clock in the morning to 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the Gabut Norte Barangay Function Hall.

“Safety and Environmental Care: The Forefront to a Sustainable Mining Industry” is the theme for the 2nd Joint Regional Mine Safety and Accident Prevention and MRFC-MMT Conference held in Lingayen, Pangasinan from June 6-8, 2007.

“Bringing Development and Empowerment to Local Communities thru Responsible Mining” this year’s theme for the annual MGB-LGU-ENRO Mining Summit held on March 7-8, 2007 at the President Hotel, Lingayen, Pangasinan. Held annually, the summit is aimed at enhancing the awareness of stakeholders and encourage partnership in the development and promotion of the minerals industry towards boosting economic stability and enhance ecological balance. It was spearheaded by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region 1 through the leadership of Engr. Samuel T. Paragas, the Regional Director.

In a bid to enhance knowledge and skills on Geographic Information System (GIS) and MAPINFO among personnel in the DENR Region I involved in surveying and map preparation, a training workshop was initiated by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau-Region I, San Fernando City, La Union in coordinaton with MGB Central Office on July 3-5, 2007. It was held at the Northern Luzon Upland Development Livelihood Learning Center in Barangay Sevilla, this City.
