After almost nine months of stay at the Mines and Geosciences Bureau - Region I, San Fernando City, La Union, Atty. Anselmo C. Abungan, Regional Director vacated his post for another assignment in Region 4A, Metro Manila. He was replaced by Engr. Carlos A. Tayag the former Chief, Administrative and Finance Division of MGB - Region I, San Fernando City, La Union by virtue of Special Order #2010-03 issued by the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Eleazar P. Quinto dated January 7, 2010. The turn-over ceremonies took place on January 13, 2010 at MGB - Region 1, San Fernando City, La Union. The move was initiated primarily to support the government's thrust of promoting responsive delivery of public services in all area of the country.
